SHAPES – Game Guide

Challenge your reflexes in a high-speed minimalist puzzle. Transcend your limits.

Game Goal

The main goal of Shapes is to drag the center shape to the matching target before the timer expires.

Progression and Levels The game is structured in Cycles. Each Cycle consists of 7 levels of increasing difficulty. To clear a single level, you must complete 7 successful matches.

The 7 levels in each cycle are defined as follows:

  1. Color: Match the color of the center shape only.
  2. Shape: Match both the color and the shape.
  3. Swap: Targets begin to swap positions, requiring more focus.
  4. Color Chaos: Targets change colors after each position swap.
  5. Shape Chaos: In addition to color, targets also change their shapes after each swap.
  6. Mutant: The center shape mutates (changes its appearance) during the round.
  7. Impossible: The ultimate challenge, where both the center color and shape change continuously.

Lives System

  • Starting Lives: You begin every game with 5 lives.
  • Losing Lives: You lose 1 life if you hit the wrong target or if the timer runs out.
  • Recovery: You earn 1 bonus life for every 100 points accumulated.
  • Game Over: The game ends when your lives reach zero.

Scoring and Cycles

The scoring system is dynamic and rewards your progress:

  • Earning Points: Each correct match awards points based on the current cycle number. For example, in Cycle 1, each match is worth 1pt; in Cycle 2, it is worth 2pts, and so on.
  • Penalties: Each mistake or timeout subtracts 1 point from your total score.
  • Cycle Progression: After clearing all 7 levels, you restart from level 1 in the next cycle (Cycle +1).

Dynamic Difficulty As you progress through cycles, the game applies a speed factor. Timers become shorter and targets swap faster, making the challenge increasingly frantic and demanding.
